Jesu.

Taken last winter 2009 during an early morning run. I took consecutive photos as I passed each day. It melted quickly. I named it Jesu. It seemed fitting. I like to think someone on the streets is using the scarf and hat. The water from the ice nourished little birds. The string is a tiny part of a rat’s nest, while the eyes…well the eyes…are buttons. What happens to buttons when they no longer fasten? They’re buttons or maybe they’re little holey dishes.

It’s the eve of Human Rights Day & I released a chapbook.:

Have a drink or do a little dance in the name of whatever suits your fancy. I recommend hugging someone like you hadn’t seen them in 30 years. Then tell them, “I haven’t seen you in 30 years! What happened?”

See what they say.

Jesu.
