New poem: “Pray”

Pray by Jacqueline Valencia (22/11/2012)

Quiet mourning has accepted

magnificently sour prayer.

Supplication is changing the widow to a grave,

cold and thoughtless the vaccuum fails.

Ablution in dry, hollow skin;

fixed under the cotton veill

reciting where creatures have been,

accepting their dogma on a mere revelation.

Blessed is the land built upon death,

“Beloved, always dream the fantasy true,”

abundantly wail your immense gratitude.

Here. Set the funeral. That casket forgives.
