Taking from Simon Morris’ Getting Inside Jack Kerouac’s Head (where he has retyped all of On The Road on blogger), starting March 11th I’ll be retyping James Joyce’s A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man. It is one of his books that I’ve yet to read. It will be re-typing a page a day here:

i loved reading this book in high school. “Her thighs, fuller and softhued as ivory, were bared almost to the hips where the white fringes of her drawers were like feathering of soft white down …” ok i’ll stop now. tony
I look forward to retyping it and reading it for the first time while doing so. Ulysses is my favourite of his works.
